"joining the panhellenic community was one of the best decisions i've ever made because it gave me a sisterhood that extends far beyond my own chapter. when i was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer after my freshman year, the panhellenic community at iu rallied around me in ways i could have never imagined, raising an incredible amount of money and support for my oncologist, dr. brian van tine, and the fight against sarcoma cancer. their kindness, generosity, and unwavering encouragement reminded me that i was never alone, even in my hardest moments. since joining, i've experienced the true meaning of sisterhood — one built on love, strength, and selflessness. the panhellenic community has not only given me lifelong friendships but has also shaped me into a stronger and more grateful person. i will forever cherish the impact this community has had on my life, and i hope to give back as much as it has given me"
