Philanthropy
Sharsheret and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation
AEPhi has two national philanthropies: Each year we fundraise for Sharsheret, a nonprofit organization with the goal of supporting Jewish women diagnosed with breast and ovarian cancer. Our event each year aims to raise money and educate people about the organization. The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing pediatric HIV infection and eliminating pediatric AIDS. Both organization were founded by women in AEPhi. The Epsilon Epsilon chapter of AEPhi has started a tradition of an annual bake sale to raise money for gun violence prevention following the Stoneman Douglas school shooting. We sell hot chocolate and cookies each year on February 14, the anniversary of the MSD shooting, to bring awareness to the relevance of the cause.
